Jim Morrison's biography
James Douglas "Jim" Morrison born in Florida, USA, was a singer, composer and poet better known as the lead singer of The Doors.
Due to it's lyrics, wild personality and performances, he is regarded by critics and fans as one of the most iconic and influential artists in the history of rock. He was influenced by some philosophers - namely, Friedrich Nietzsche and other existentialist philosophers - whose opinions about aesthetics, morality and duality Apollonian and Dionysian reflected in his conversations, poetry and songs.
Jim Morrison died at Paris at the age of 27, probably due to an overdose of heroine, but as no autopsy was ever made, the exact cause of his death remains a mystery.
He is buried at Père Lachaise cemetery in Paris.
